Michala Hill, Dance Instructor

Michala Hill grew up in Douglasville, Georgia started dancing when she was eight years old. She was a student of several esteemed studios in the Atlanta area, including the Atlanta Ballet and the Georgia Dance Conservatory. She enjoyed studying ballet methods under the instruction of Tally Balakirsky, Ellen Hall, Christine Fehr and others. Since the beginning of her training, she has danced in various productions and character roles. She was awarded a scholarship to the Joffrey Ballet summer intensive, and attended programs from the Georgia Ballet, Kennesaw State University, Jazz on Tap, and Ballet Fest. Hill was an instructor and choreographer for the Georgia College Community Dance Program, where she taught students of all ages and levels while receiving her own instruction under the direction of professors Natalie King and Amelia Pelton. Hill received solo and leading roles in Georgia College’s annual Nutrcracker, Dance Honor Society Concert, and Dance Minor Spring Concert Performances. She received scholarships for her collegiate dancing, and an invitation to the American College Dance Association Southeastern Conference. After earning her B.B.A in Accounting and Minor in Dance from Georgia College in 2022, she taught dance in public elementary schools. She continues to train in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and modern. Furthering her knowledge, Hill is currently studying the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum.
