Ashley Suta, Dance Instructor

Ashley Suta began her dance training at the age of 5 with the Academy of Dance Arts in Canton, GA. She studied at Kennesaw State University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Dance (Summa Cum Laude) with a concentration in Classical Ballet. During her college years, Ashley performed with the KSU Dance Company in works by Christine Welker and McCree O’Kelley, as well as student choreography by her peers.

During college, Ashley began her teaching career at Hickory Flat Dance Academy and has since built over a decade of experience as a dance educator. Her immense passion for dance pedagogy and working with kids of all ages has opened up opportunities to instruct and guest teach all across the metro-Atlanta area, for which she is incredibly grateful.

Ashley previously served as a preschool/Pre-K dance instructor and Customer Relations Manager with Studio Go. She has been a faculty member with the Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education since 2017 and accepted a leadership role as the Atlanta Ballet Virginia-Highland Centre Manager in 2023. During her time with Atlanta Ballet, Ashley has led a variety of additional programming such as the Kids In Step Student Matinee Field Trip Series for local school groups and Educate.Motivate.Elevate, the Centre’s student mentorship program.

In October 2024, Ashley had the honor of traveling to Pereira, Colombia in South America, where she served as an adjudicator and faculty member for the Addicted2Dance Competition/Convention. She also set ballet choreography to be performed by select students at the closing gala.

Across all her roles in dance education, Ashley strives to make the arts more accessible and impactful to students of all backgrounds. She seeks to create a community, where all students feel represented and can thrive at their fullest potential. She is excited to join the CDA staff this season!
