Jeney E. Bryant Jeney E. Bryant has been dancing for over 35 years and started her dance instructor training at the young age of 10. She began instructing professionally for Judy Conti Dance Studios at the age of 16. During her early years, she was a member of the Judy Conti Dance Line, Judy Conti Worship Team, and Judy Conti Competition Teams.
After graduating high school, Jeney attended Kent State University, where she took a variety of dance classes and taught at the University’s Recreational Center. Upon graduating college, Jeney began teaching dance for the Marquette School of Dance. There, she developed the Assistant Dance Teacher Training Program and collaborated with other teachers to create a Pre-Pointe and Pointe syllabus. Jeney has been blessed to call Cumming Dance Academy home for the past 12 years, where she continues to share her love of dance, mentoring young dancers, and helping students grow. One of the most rewarding parts of her journey has been watching former students and assistant teachers grow into confident dance educators and choreographers themselves. In fact, some of her former assistants are now beloved teachers here at CDA—a beautiful testament to the legacy of mentorship that CDA strives to create and the love of dance that continues from one generation to the next.
Throughout the years, Jeney has furthered her dance instructor training by studying in New York City at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway, at the top dance conventions in the country, and with Karida Griffith and Team Julie Kay. She is blessed to have studied a plethora of dance styles with some of the best professionals in the business, including Jeff Amsden, Phil Black, Marty Dew, Abron and Savion Glover, Gregory Hines, Finis Jhung, Mia Michaels, Mike Minery, Mya, Sue Samuels, Joe Tremaine, and Chet Walker.
Jeney has choreographed for dance lines, plays, show choirs, theatre productions, weddings, and enrichment programs at local schools and theatres.
Jeney graduated cum laude from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science degree as an Intervention Specialist. She is certified in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Special Education (PreK through age 22). Jeney taught in Ohio for six years before moving to Georgia, where she has now lived and worked for 16 years. She is currently a Preschool Community-Based Case Manager and Special Education Teacher for the Forsyth County Sprouts Program.
Miss Jeney is married to Mr. Neal, who you can often see helping backstage as a Props Dad. She has two beautiful daughters, Ella (14) and Daphne (12), who also dance at CDA. Miss Jeney loves spending time with her family, worshipping, reading, painting, writing, sewing, crafting, and sharing her passions with others.
After more than 35 years of dancing and teaching, Jeney feels incredibly blessed to continue doing what she loves—sharing the joy of dance, mentoring the next generation of teachers, and helping young dancers discover their confidence, creativity, and love for the performing arts.
