gia lure, Dance Instructor
Gia Lure started dancing at Cumming Dance Academy when she was just 3 years old, and the studio has been her second home ever since. She trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop, and was a proud CDA Company member for six years. Growing up surrounded by inspiring teachers sparked not only her love for dance, but also her dream of one day returning to the studio as an instructor.
Gia graduated from South Forsyth High School in 2021, where she was a member of the Competitive Dance Team and proudly served as captain for two years. Following graduation, she took a gap year to pursue advanced dance training in Los Angeles, California. That experience challenged her artistically and strengthened her passion for performing.
Gia went on to attend The University of Alabama, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a minor in Creative Media, completing her degree in just three years. During her time there, she performed in multiple productions as a member of Dance Alabama, a student-led organization dedicated to performance and choreography. Since graduating, she has continued pursuing professional dance opportunities by training and auditioning with the goal of becoming an NFL cheerleader.
Returning to CDA as a teacher is a full-circle moment for Gia. She is passionate about creating a positive, encouraging classroom where every dancer feels confident, challenged, and inspired to grow. Gia is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to return to the CDA family that helped shape her into the dancer and person she is today. She looks forward to inspiring the next generation of dancers while sharing the same love for dance that first began within the walls of CDA.
