Each dancer receives 2 complimentary tickets to the show of their choice.  These tickets must be claimed during the Family VIP Pre-Sale May 3 – 10, 2022.  For the VIP Pre-Sale only, there is a limit of additional tickets that may be purchased to allow all families a chance to purchase tickets. Each dancer is allowed 6 tickets  per show during the VIP Pre-Sale, which includes your complimentary tickets  After the Pre-Sale, on May 10th, any amount of tickets can be purchased without limit – while available.  Dancers receive only 2 complimentary tickets; regardless of the number of actual shows they are performing in.  Discount codes to claim your complimentary tickets will be emailed to you prior to the VIP Family Pre-Sale.

shining stars

Feature your CDA Dancer by celebrating them with a Shining Star ad during our Show week! These Stars will appear in the theater on our big screen before the show, during intermission, and in the lobby! Shining Stars are available to all performers ages 3yr and up!

Your Shining Star is featured at ONE show of your choice. Multiple shows can be purchased for an additional $12.00 each.

Each star will include photograph of your dancer with a small congratulations message from you and your loved ones.

All Stars are $40.00 each and your card on file will be charged upon submission of this order. You will receive a PROOF of the ad prior to the show weekend.

ballet buns

Unless otherwise specified by your instructor, all CDA performers are required to have a ballet bun in the center/back of the head. No whispies or fly away loose hair. There are many ballet bun tutorials on YouTube you can find specific to your style / thickness of hair.

IN-STUDIO DRESS REHEARSAL

In-Studio Dress Rehearsals will be held the week of May 23-28th.  There will be no regular classes this week.  Please refer to the Performance Directory on this page for all times. Be sure and note the time and location for each of your dancer's classes.  Time and studio room may differ slightly from your dancer's regular class schedule. 

Dancers should arrive in costume with hair and makeup done. 

Each class will perform their routine twice and then be released to parents. You are welcome to take pictures or videos during the in-studio rehearsal but please limit visitors to 2 per family.  In-Studio Dress rehearsals will not last more than 30-45mins per class.

COSTUME PICTURES BY PHOTOGENICS

Picture week will run simultaneously with In-Studio Dress Rehearsal for your convenience the week of May 23-28th.  Our professional photographer, Marcus Rosetti of Photogenics,  will be taking custom dancer portraits at CDA II (230 Elm St) in the upstairs studio all week.   

Stop by after your In-Studio Dress Rehearsals are finished to have these keepsake photos taken!  Professional photography available Monday-Friday 3:30pm-8:00pm and Saturday 9:30am-12:30pm.  We encourage to go straight to CDA II for pictures right after your rehearsal while you are still in costume and make up!

SHOW REMINDERS!

WEST FORSYTH HIGH SCHOOL PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - 4155 DREW ROAD - CUMMING, GA

¨ Dancers should be dropped off 45 min. prior to showtime at the Dancer Drop Off Security Table on the 1500 hallway.  Backstage Moms may pass the line on the left and check in 1 hour prior to showtime.  You will be given a Security Card for your dancer which you’ll need to present after the show.

  • Dancers should be dropped off completely ready in their first costume and additional costumes in hand.

  •  Make sure to layer your tights if your dancer has costume changes.  The top layer of tights will be the first color/performance of the show.  The bottom layer will be the second number of the show. If you need to know which dance comes first, check in with your teacher.

  • Please remove any jewelry, hair accessories and/or nail polish.  They are not permitted and will be removed backstage.

  • We will touch up makeup backstage, as needed.  Please let the Backstage Mom Coordinator know if there are any allergies we should be aware of.   Also, notify us if there are any food allergies or health concerns.

  • Our CDA Box Office will have cruise ship souvenirs, dancer flowers, and tickets available (while available) for you to purchase. 

  • The doors to the theater will open approx. 20 minutes prior to the stated showtime.

  • After the show, please send one female back to the 1500 hallway to pick up your dancer.  For security, dancers will not be permitted to leave without the security card.

  • We like for all of our dancers to stay the entire show and participate in the final curtain call.  If you must pick up your dancer early, please see the CDA Box Office Table in the lobby for assistance. If you choose to pick up early, once the dancer is checked out from backstage, they may not return during the show.

  • Anyone entering the theater must have a ticket. Each seat in the theater requires a ticket. Dancers do not need a ticket to stay backstage the entire showtime. Backstage volunteers do not require a ticket but must remain backstage for the entire show.

  • Because we present a professional performance, we ask that everyone remain seated during the entire performance. If you do leave the auditorium during the show you will be allowed back into the auditorium only between dances.

  • Children must remain seated for the entire performance. If you think they will have a hard time remaining seated during the performance, please do not bring them inside the theater. Allowing  children to run around or otherwise disrupt the performance is not fair to other audience members enjoying the show or to the dancers who are performing.

  • Parents who bring infants to the performance should quickly exit the auditorium if the infant begins to cry or create a distraction for the audience.  Children 3 & under do not require a ticket, but must sit on an adult lap near & exit quickly if disruptive.

  • For the safety of our dancers, Flash Photography is prohibited during our shows. (Flashes can blind a dancer onstage, and cause them to become dizzy and/or fall.)   CDA’s choreography is copy-righted; therefore, video recording during the show is also strictly prohibited.    Professional recordings can be purchased online or in the lobby at the CDA Box Office from Velocity Productions.

  • Each patron must present a ticket at the door to be scanned for entrance.  No ticket—No entrance.
