Cumming Dance Academy offers a variety of outlets for dancers who are interested in achieving higher accomplishments in dance and experiencing more than just weekly dance classes. Our Company program is set up to help dancers do just that! Company dancers will experience all outlets of dance from as many professional and outside choreographers as possible, attend professional dance conventions and competitions, and give back to the community by performing at local events. Our Company program starts with Mini Company, available to dancers from 2nd-5th grade. Our upper level Company is composed of dancers 6th grade and up.
Company auditions are held each May and rehearsals for the Company season begin in July. All Company members are required to be enrolled in a minimum of 5 weekly technique classes in the styles of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary/ Lyrical, and a Stretch/Strength skill class. In addition to their technique classes, Company dancers attend weekly Company rehearsals and occasional Saturday rehearsals.

The mission of Cumming Dance Academy, Inc. Company, is to provide performance & competitive experience for elite dancers to enhance their dance and performance skill levels. It is our goal to provide Company dancers with opportunities to experience different types of choreography, learn an appreciation of the art, dance with professional instructors both at CDA and beyond the studio, see and observe other dancers at conventions, performances, and competitions, and get an overall better understanding of the field of dance. Our goal is to expand the dancer’s confidence and performing abilities.
